A person I know is incarcerated and so I gifted him this book since he is interested in reading books by the author. He received it without any problems and he is enjoying this book. Thank you so much!
Anyone familiar with John Grisham's writings knows he exposes the dirty little secrets of the legal profession and of the criminal and civil justice systems. And he does it so entertainingly as well. 'The Client' is my all-time favorite. Read it for pleasure, and read it for an education about how to protect yourself when both the bad guys and the good guys are out to get you!
I bought the edition from for my new tablet (after installing the reader app) and it downloaded and installed perfectly even though it was my first try at this sort of thing.
I have seen the movie several times, but the book was so much better. grisham has a way of getting and holding your attention. I couldn't put the book down.
A great read. Grisham grabs you by the nuts and squeezes until you have read the book. Great plot,sub plot and ultimate ending. His knowledge of the legal system gives him an advantage over other writers in that he can intricately weave his magic and come through so convincingly. i have read all his books except on or two which I hope to catch up with soon. My wife keeps waking up and tells me not to read too long, huh, I just say "yes dear" and some time later i see daylight peeping around the drapes.
Has all the elements of a great story. Innocence , action, drama, excitement, intrigue, love, intelligence, stupidity of people, family, mafia, cops, hospital, and above all a kid that outwits everyone. Highly recommend it.
John Grisham books are very exciting. This is one of my favorites. Mark and Reggie's relationship throughout the novel was inspirational to me. I don't think in this day and age that lawyers would go to the extent that Reggie did to protect her client. I really enjoyed this book.
I love this story. I've read this book before, I've seen the movie, I know the story, but it's a really goog read. Actually I like the stories from this era of his writing better than some of the new writings.
Read this book again. If you don't care for it I'll take the blame. Go for it
